Awana
Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed
2 Timothy 2:15
Our Prayer: “That children throughout the world would come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Awana is an age-appropriate Bible-based club for boys and girls ages 3 through grade 6. Awana runs on Wednesday evenings, beginning promptly at 6:55 and finishing at 8:30 pm. We suggest children check-in between 6:40 and 6:55 pm to allow us an entire evening with your children. Our year runs from mid-September to the end of April.
The Evening is Divided into 3 Main Segments
Game Time is exciting and fast paced. It is a time for co-operation and sportsmanship. It may also be a time to learn a craft.
Handbook Time is the small-group segment of the evening. It is when the children are divided into classes and given the opportunity to learn and recite Bible verses.
Large Group Time is the heart of the evening. It may include singing, a Bible lesson, testimonies, presentation of awards and more!
Awards and Incentives
Throughout the year the children will earn individual awards which may be displayed on their uniforms. These awards are based primarily on the completion of sections within their handbooks. Book Awards will be given out at a special Award Ceremony in April of each year.
