Steinbach Christian Preschool is a learning through play experience for three- and four-year-olds, sponsored by Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church.

Mission Statement

Steinbach Christian Preschool exists for the purpose of supporting families in the education and Christian nurture of their children by providing excellence in Christian education.

Objective

The program provides a clean, safe, caring Christian atmosphere where children may develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually at their own rate.

Daily Program

We provide a planned daily program with experience centres, projects. group activities, stories, songs and creative play.
Two qualified staff persons are in attendance at all times to encourage and assist children in their activities. Parent volunteers are welcome to help in the classroom as needed. The volunteer program begins in October.

Greeting Children and Creative Play, 9:00am – 10:10am / 1:00pm – 2:10pm

Creative Play includes: Block Building, Puzzles and Games, Art Activities, Books, Floor Toys, Manipulative Learning Materials, Dramatic Play, Art Centre, Sand, Housekeeping, Lego, Play Dough, Dress-up Clothes, Puppets, Science and Math Centres, Painting, Felt Fun, Water Table

Clean-Up Time, 10:10am – 10:20am / 2:10pm – 2:20pm

Circle Time, Washroom and Snack Time, Bible Time, 10:20am – 11:30am / 2:20pm – 3:30pm

Children bring their own snack and drink (non-perishable items only)

Home Time, 11:30am / 3:30pm

School Year

Our school year begins in early September. All programs run to the last week in May.

School hours are 9:00am to 11:30am Monday to Thursday. Afternoon classes are from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

There will be staff persons available for supervision at 8:50am and 12:50pm.

Siblings of Preschool students are the responsibility of their parents at all times.

Three-year-olds attend Monday and Wednesday mornings.

Four-year-olds have three time choices:

Monday and Wednesday afternoons,

Tuesday and Thursday mornings,

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Registration

Register at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church – 360 McKenzie Road

Registration for the Fall Program is held the first Friday in May at 9:00am.

Doors open at 8:30am, and numbers for order-of-registration are issued at that time.

A non-refundable $30 registration fee is required at registration time. Please bring your medical numbers.

Enrollment Requirements

Three-year-olds must be 3 years old on or before November 1 of the current school year, and must be toilet trained. Space for special needs children is limited.

Fees

Payment for all programs is $70 per month.
Payment is due at the first of each month. Post-dated cheques are required.

If a child enrolls mid-month, payment will be calculated for the days attended. No fee adjustments will be made for child absences.
