Who’s On the Planning Team?
Our planning team has ended up embodying the very ethos of this third service.
Coincidence? We think not…
~ We’re an intergenerational group
Holly is in grade 12, Luke just graduated from high school Ashleigh & Jordan bring a 20-something perspective Michelle, Judy, and Karla…well…let’s just say that we’re taking care of the 30-and-up crowd
~ We represent diverse backgrounds in terms of church experiences, education, family life, etc.
We’ve got everything from Anglican to conservative Mennonite to non-denominational church backgrounds We’re students, a Principal, an English teacher, a counselor, and a potential seminary student We’re teens with no intentions of settling down in the immediate future, parents of a 9-month-old, a mom of school-aged kids, a mom of grown-up kids, and a non-mom, too {or would that be an ‘un-mom’???}
~ We share an interest in language, inspired by words and ideas, yet bring differing skills and abilities
Writers, singers, musicians, collectors of quotations/readings/interesting writing pieces, organizers, planners, etc.
~ We all value and love our faith community at Emmanuel; you are ‘home’ to us, regardless of how long we’ve attended this church {incidentally, this ranges from 7 months all the way to 25 years}
