What is the worship experience like at Emmanuel?

We believe in diversity, which is why we offer two distinct worship styles. Our Traditional Service at 9:30 am offers a variety of music styles from performance pieces to traditional hymns, and regularly features our Emmanuel choir. Our Contemporary Service on Sunday morning at 11 am, begins with energetic and inspiring music played by a live band. All of the services listen to Bible-based message.

Where do I park?

At times, our parking lot is quite full. For that reason, we have reserved several parking spots for guests. You’ll find them adjacent to each of our main entrances. Handicap parking stalls are located close to each of the entrances.

What about my kids?

There is something for kids and youth from birth right up to grade 12. We have a Nursery for 0 – 36 months. There is also a Family Room where you can stay with your child if they aren’t comfortable being left. During the 9:30 hour, we offer Kidz Printz – that is our version of Sunday school for ages 3 – grade 6 in the Preschool and Children’s Ministry Wing. Classes are divided by grade and gender and they have a mixture of large and small group activities. Classes available for Junior High students, grades 7-8 in the Children’s Ministry Wing during the 9:30 hour. Also during the 9:30 hour we have Sunday Morning Conversations for High School students, grades 9-12 in the Shack. If you attend our Contemporary Service at 11 am, your children (age 3-5) will be dismissed for Bearz Den part way through the service.

How should I dress?

Emmanuel has a ‘come as you are’ atmosphere. You will find a range of dress styles from jeans and t-shirts to shorts and flip-flops, to the occasional sports jacket and dress. Come dressed however you are comfortable and you will fit right in.

Will I be required to sign anything, say anything or be singled out in any way?

In no way will you be singled out in any of our services or programs. When you visit, we will invite you to fill out an In Touch card and take it to our Welcome Centre in the Hub. We would love to have a record of your visit, and would like to give you a gift to thank you for spending time with us. We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Someone will contact you in the week thanking you for visiting and answering any questions you may have.
